Bluestar Silicones Introduces Premium Release Additive and Crosslinker for Solvent-Borne Systems



New Products Deliver Productivity and Cost Advantages



ROSEMONT, Ill. -- Bluestar Silicones announced the introduction of a premium release additive and a crosslinking agent for solvent-borne silicone systems for a range of label applications. Bluestar Silicones made the announcement at Labelexpo Americas 2014 (Booth 3605) September 9-11 at the Donald T. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Ill.

Both new products are targeted for use in pressure-sensitive release coatings.



Bluestar Silicones ADD 398 is a premium release additive that is designed to reduce release force and provide a premium release for a range of solvent polymers. It is used at 1-2% addition levels.



Bluestar Silicones XL 311, a crosslinking agent, was developed for use on polyethylene coated kraft (PEK) paper. It provides excellent low-temperature cure and strong anchorage to the substrate material.
