Leuze Lumiflex: MSI Relays: More Than Just a Safety Relay
Leuze Lumiflex's MSI Relay family is a product line of interface components designed especially for use with opto-electronic protective devices. The MSI Relays modularly configured components expand the function range of safety light curtains by adding "restart interlock", "relay monitoring", "single or double break" and "muting". In addition to opto-electric safety devises the MSI Relay is also capable of monitoring category 4 safety switches and/or e-stop buttons. MSI Relays come in either 35 or 53 mm housings and is available with two different plug-in output sub-assemblies, one for potential-free switching in AC control circuits and one for wear free switching of 24V DC loads. The MSI Relay is the system solution between E-Stop relays and safety related PLC's.
