Rehm Thermal Systems to Display Their Innovative Range of Systems and Technologies at Productronica 2011

Rehm Thermal Systems is looking forward to showcasing a wide range of convection, condensation soldering and drying systems, as well as their award winning technologies, at Productronica 2011. The exhibition is taking place at the New Munich Trade Fair Centre in Germany, where the Rehm team will be in hall A4 on stand number 341, from the 15th to the 18th November 2011. As the world's leading trade fair covering all aspects of innovative electronic production, Rehm look forward to demonstrating the advantages of their wide range of products, including the VisionX convection reflow system and CondensoX soldering system, to visitors at the show.

Rehm will be displaying the VisionX convection reflow system on their stand, which has a range of diverse applications, enabled due to its modular design and outstanding thermal performance. The system is available in different lengths and designs, including the VisionXC, VisionXS and VisionXP. The VisonX system also includes a number of Rehm's innovative technologies, such as the pioneering Pyrolysis, which is the thermally induced decomposition of organic compounds and provides a number of benefits to manufacturers, including a reduction in maintenance costs of over 50%.

With the VisionXC, Rehm has met the request of the EMS service provider with smaller batch sizes to offer a cost-effective system which still corresponds to the demands placed on it with regard to process performance. The VisionXC is available with a reduced option package suited to the needs of this service provider. The reliable transportation, exceptional heat transfer and very good profilability offered by this system have already convinced countless clients in China. The first systems have also already been sold in Europe. The alternative length systems will also be showcased and include many of the advantages of the VisionXC but also have different design features to overcome common manufacturing challenges.

The VisionXP has been designed specifically for high end manufacturing by incorporating a three-shift production capability and the VisionXS has been designed specifically to achieve a higher throughput rate to increase overall efficiency. Both systems integrate Rehm's innovative, cutting edge technologies, to enable process reliability and low maintenance costs for manufacturers are achieved.

Also on display at Productronica will be the CondensoXP soldering system. It is a unique system that allows users to adapt vapour phase soldering to manufacturing conditions. Equipped with a choice of handling variants, CondensoXP ensures that void-free soldering can be achieved in virtually any SMD manufacturing system. The system has been designed to specifically meet the challenges of lead-free solder alloys for small and high thermal mass PCBs and further benefits manufacturers by combining vacuum profiling and thermal profiling in one machine for the best possible operational flexibility, which is further extended by a variety of loading options. Even 3-D assemblies and MID technologies can be achieved with the CondensoX, providing uncompromising soldering results of the highest quality for manufacturers.

Other products visitors can find out more about on the Rehm stand will include the RDS-Drying system, which is designed especially for the drying of delicate printed circuit board components. This is achieved by the combination of infrared irradiation, convection and the individually adjustable zones, which ensure optimal profiling capability and reliable results. Alongside this Rehm's award winning thermal oxidizer will also be on show, which topped the Solar Industry Awards' product category, for its principle of exhaust gas purification. The technology was developed to address the issue of reliably exhausting substantial quantities of vapour and smoke from the process chamber to avoid contamination and yield loss. Based on an innovative thermal oxidation process to reduce emissions from solar dryers and firing systems during the metallization of crystalline solar cells, the technology dramatically reduces associated maintenance costs. The process also ensures that emissions remain well below the statutory limitations for emissions of pollutants, delivering an important environmental advantage.

All of these systems and technologies will be demonstrated by experts from the Rehm team in hall A4 on stand number 341 at Productronica 2011.
