Rehm Thermal Systems Exhibiting at Nepcon China 2011

Rehm Thermal Systems will be attending Nepcon China 2011 at Shanghai's Everbright Convention Exhibition Center from the 11th-13th May. As an innovator of advanced convection and condensation soldering processes, Rehm will be highlighting a range of next-generation technologies at the exhibition. Visitors to the show will be able to see the company's productivity-boosting VisionXS convection reflow soldering equipment in action on Booth 2H06, in addition to having the opportunity to learn more about Condenso void-free vacuum condensation soldering.

Visitors to the Rehm booth will be able to take advantage of seeing the VisionXS reflow soldering equipment up close, while learning more about the technology from Rehm's team of on-booth experts. In addition to a proven ability to deliver more repeatable soldering results, the future-proof VisionXS system also incorporates integrated residue management featuring Rehm's Pyrolysis technology in the heat zones. Pyrolysis is virtually maintenance-free and features elevated temperatures to split long molecular chains to reduce the amount of condensable waste and undesirable dripping within the process chamber. Available with air or nitrogen atmosphere, the result is efficient and environmentally friendly disposal of contamination, increased productivity and reduced cost of ownership.

On show at Nepcon China, Rehm's VXS944 system has a highly effective new bottom side cooling configuration helping to ensure an even more homogenous cool-down. Equipped with a four-stage cooling tract and individual speed/volume control in each zone, 50°C exit temperatures and precise cooling gradients ensure stress-free processing. The design of the VXS944 is of particular importance when processing thick PCBs, workpiece carriers, and PCBs with unevenly distributed inner copper layers, all of which present more thermally challenging processing.

Johnson Ma, Asia General Manager for Rehm Thermal Systems, explains: "Rehm recognises that high speed, high volume manufacturing environments place exceptional demands upon the waste management capabilities of a reflow oven. This is where we come in! Heat transfer is significantly optimised in the VisionXS 944's four peak zones. This, coupled with a range of innovative features, means that PCBs are heated uniformly, minimising thermal stress and reducing related soldering defects - providing our customers with complete peace of mind."

Johnson Ma concludes: "Rehm are confident in the abilities of the VisionXS convection reflow soldering equipment, having installed more than 1000 VX series systems. Our Pyrolysis unit reduces maintenance by up to 50% and only requires servicing once a year, so it really is a cost efficient addition to our customers' production process. With our facilities in Dongguan, now ISO 9001:2006 certified, our customers can take advantage of the cost savings offered by a system produced in China - without compromise. Nepcon China provides visitors with the opportunity to find out about all this and more; our team will be ready and waiting to introduce them to their productivity advantage."
