New Digital Battery / Antifreeze Refractometer High Accuracy - With Automatic Temperature Compensation
Kernco Instruments Co., Inc. is pleased to introduce its new Model DR-Glycol digital battery/antifreeze refractometer designed to measure the freezing point/boiling point, temperature of automotive & stationary engines by taking a drop or two of the sample. Simply place the droplets on the optical prism plate, press button and instant LCD reading appears. Model also displays on LCD reading of battery fluids specific gravity from 1.10 to 1.30. It also shows the battery charge condition on the display the words: "Recharge" "Fair" and "Good".
General Information
The model measures in the field with laboratory accuracy on a large 0.75" LCD display the propylene glycol in the range of 32°F to -50°F, and the ethylene range of 32°F to -50°F. It also measures battery fluids specific gravity in the range of 1.10 to
1.30. The sophisticated microprocessor provides automatic calibration, automatic shutoff after 3 minutes, a low battery indicator, and a low power consumption resulting in over 2,000 tests per battery. Water resistant design protects the electronics from wet environments and makes for easy clean ups. This model features automatic temperature compensation and also displays temperature in °F and °C, with ranges of 0-40°C or 32-104°F with a resolution of 0.1 °C and 1°F. Model also available for °C measurements. Specifications the same except for ranges of 0 to -500C.
