New Quartz-Cost 850 High Temp White Reflective Coating Now Offered

Valley Cottage, NY - August 13, 2004 SUMMARY Quartz-Coat(TM) 850, a new high temperature, white glass-ceramic coating developed by Aremco Products, Inc., is now used as a high temperature reflective coating on mercury vapor lamps and quartz infrared heaters for applications to 1600 °F (871°C). FEATURES Quartz-Coat(TM) 850 is a white pigmented, water-based, glass-ceramic coating used principally as a reflective coating on mercury vapor lamps and quartz infrared heaters for applications to 1600 °F (871 °C). The reflectance of Quart-Coat(TM) 850 improves heater and lamp performance by helping to direct light and infrared energy more efficiently. Quartz-Coat(TM) 850 is applied easily using an airbrush spray system or sponge brush. Typical coverage is 250 ft²/gallon based a six mil wet and one mil dry film thickness. Solids by weight is 46.7% and solids by volume is 17.1%. Viscosity ranges from 800 to 1,500 centipoise. Curing is accomplished by setting at room temperature for 30 minutes, then heating to 1600 °F for 30 minutes. Quartz-Coat(TM) 850 is an environmentally friendly product that is odorless, contains no volatile organic compounds, and cleans up easily with warm water.
