RedSeal Systems Highlighted During Launch of Security Connected Initiative at McAfee FOCUS 2010

Showcases RedSeal Integration with McAfee Security Management 5

SAN MATEO, Calif. - RedSeal Systems, the leading provider of software for security posture management, announced that McAfee recently demonstrated the benefits of using its technology as part of the new McAfee "Security Connected" initiative at the FOCUS 2010 Conference in Las Vegas. RedSeal's security posture management software will be integrated with McAfee Security Management 5, a new comprehensive, centralized security management platform launched at FOCUS 2010. Additionally, RedSeal is an active member of the McAfee Security Innovation Alliance (SIA) partner program.

Brian Foster, Senior Vice President of Product Management at McAfee, highlighted RedSeal as an example of how the Security Management 5 platform will connect together multiple individual security elements. "RedSeal's integration helps make our Security Connected vision a reality by integrating the effects of network security into overall situational awareness," said Foster. "RedSeal enables users to connect all aspects of security to reduce risk, enhance security posture, help meet compliance regulations, and drive up operational efficiencies."

"RedSeal is proud to be a valued partner in McAfee's new 'Security Connected' initiative," said Steve Dauber, Vice President of Marketing, RedSeal Systems, Inc. "True situational awareness requires breaking down organizational silos. By connecting RedSeal's technology with McAfee Security Management 5, our joint customers can continue to use our best-of-breed products while gaining a unified view of security and risk posture."

RedSeal's Integration with McAfee Security Management 5

The McAfee "Security Connected" initiative is aimed at enabling partners, developers and customers to apply a more intelligent, effective and sustainable approach to securing digital information. Security Management 5, one of the new connected security platforms, broadens the McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO) platform by adding a Web Services API for vendor partners such as RedSeal. This platform provides a full risk profile across multiple security layers, vendors, products and solutions, resulting in a dramatically enhanced security posture, lower operational costs and a "Security Connected" approach to understanding the threat landscape and managing business risk.

RedSeal's software will tightly integrate into McAfee's Security Management 5 platform. Using open APIs, RedSeal will automatically retrieve information about hosts and vulnerabilities, as well as how these map to business organizations. RedSeal analyzes this information in the context of network security to provide overall situational awareness of network security. RedSeal will then feed key aspects of security posture, such as threat exposure and pivot attack risk, back into the McAfee Security Management 5 framework so that this information can be leveraged by other products and processes.

About RedSeal Systems, Inc.

RedSeal Systems develops security posture management software that enables organizations to assess and strengthen their cyber-defenses. Unlike systems that detect attacks once they occur, RedSeal identifies holes in the security infrastructure that could be exploited--before they are discovered by hackers. RedSeal software analyzes and simplifies the complex interaction of firewalls, routers, load balancers and hosts, delivering in-depth understanding of overall security posture, continuous compliance with regulations such as PCI, FISMA, and SOX, and actionable steps for risk remediation.
