PEC Develops The Monopolarizer(TM) for Chrome Plating Industry

(Gastonia, North Carolina) -- Process Electronics Corporation has
developed a product that specifically addresses the needs of chrome platers. The Monopolarizer provides precise control of the electric current used in the plating process to improve consistency and quality.

Platers use a combination of direct current (DC) and chemicals to plate products. The electric current causes the molecules of the chemical to bond to the product.

When minute inconsistencies occur in the electricity, quality problems result. PEC engineers researched the problem and found "ripple current", small interruptions of the electric flow that last only milliseconds. The Monopolarizer effectively eliminates plating interruptions due to "ripples" at a far lower cost than other techniques.

The Monopolarizer solves passivation and peeling quality issues caused by ripple current without the high cost of filters. The Monopolarizer uses a combination of electronic devices to maintain current integrity and eliminate ripple effective problems.

Process Electronics Corporations designs and manufactures power
