ThermoTek, Inc.'s Solid-State Recirculating Chiller Offers Quiet, Reliable Performance
(CARROLLTON, Texas - November, 2004) - For cooling and temperature control applications, the newly introduced Rack Mount Chiller from ThermoTek Inc. delivers reliability and a customizable platform. The Rack Mount Chiller uses thermoelectric technology to cool or heat with liquid or air. This chiller can control temperatures within a tenth of a degree to efficiently remove waste heat and avoid component overheating.
"The Rack Mount Chiller has the most reliable heat and cool modes of anything out there," said Bud Parish, Ph.D., P.E., thermodynamic engineer and executive director at ThermoTek. "It can run hundreds of thousands of cycles without failure thanks to our thermoelectric high-cycle technology."
Because of its 3U package, the smaller size allows for custom configurations and can be easily mounted inside, underneath or next to other equipment. With no moving parts, this solid-state chiller is quiet and does not vibrate. It is also scalable to low and high wattage.
Since this chiller is modular, compact and easy to configure for custom options, it can be used in almost any industrial application. Some applications for the Rack Mount Chiller include laser systems, military antennas, X-ray equipment, computers, semiconductor manufacturing, measuring equipment, factory automation and more.
"Space is always at a premium on factory floors," said Parish. "This chiller allows you to save on floor space by mounting on 19-inch racks that are so common in today's factories. Most compressed air chillers are much larger in size and have less versatility. And because it doesn't vibrate, the Rack Mount Chiller can be placed on a rack with no worry of damage to other components."
The Rack Mount Chiller weighs approximately 48 pounds (22+ kg) and comes in two configurations in a 3U Package: 19 inches x 15 inches x 5.25 inches (483 mm x 381 mm x 133 mm) and 19 inches x 22 inches x 5.25 inches (483 mm x 558 mm x 133 mm). It is energy efficient and environmentally friendly with no chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs).
