More Power, Less Vibration With Makita's New AVT(TM) Recipro Saw
May 16, 2005 - LA MIRADA, CALIF. - Makita USA, Inc., manufacturer of professional quality power tools and accessories, is proud to announce the release of its new 15 AMP reciprocating saw featuring Anti-Vibration Technology (AVT). AVT is an exclusive counterbalance system engineered internally to saws that reduce vibration up to twice that of competitor saws - only 10 m/s2. The AVT recipro saw, model JR3070CT, is a one of three models in Makita's new recipro saw series.
The new recipro saw series consists of three models, 15 AMP (JR3070CT), 12 AMP (JR3060T) and 9 AMP (JR3050T) to accommodate any heavy-duty application. The premier saw in this line-up is the 15 AMP JR3070CT. In addition to being superiorly engineered with AVT technology for maximum comfort to the user, Makita's new saw provides many other benefits to the PRO. For superior power and performance, the JR3070CT comes equipped with a clutch that protects the gears should the blade bind, extending the life of the tool. It also boasts powerful orbital blade action for high-speed wood cutting.
For maximum speed and control, the JR3070CT has a variable speed preset dial with six different preset speeds to match the speed of the saw to the application as well as electronic speed control to maintain consistent speed under load and for 45% faster cutting.
These three new recipro saws are totally tool-less for maximum durability - the blade can be inserted and ejected with one hand, and the shoe is adjustable to five different positions. The durable body design keeps dust and debris away from the motor and the rubber and felt seals keeps dust and water out for a longer tool life. These new recipro saws are ideal for builders, roofers, contractors and metal fabricators for applications such as demolition, metal cutting, wood cutting, drywall and plaster, plastics and remodeling.
