Variable speed feature adds versatility, greater user control
(Elyria, Ohio) RIDGID® today introduced a new reciprocating saw with the power to meet the demands of any professional. The Reciprocating Saw (Model R3000) offers 9 Amps of power from its heavy-duty motor, a benefit that ensures the long life of this rugged tool.
A variable speed trigger switch gives users the freedom to tackle a wide range of materials with the reciprocating saw. Even when running at 2,800 strokes per minute, the user can easily change cutting speeds in the middle of the cut to select the optimum speed for fast, efficient cuts.

The R3000 is equipped with three bi-metal blades: two with the ability to slice through wood with nails and one to tackle metal surfaces. This advanced bi-metal construction makes for longer, sharper blades, which the user can change effortlessly due to the saw's tool-less blade changing system.
The reciprocating saw is equipped with a pivoting shoe that adjusts easily with a simple Allen wrench. Because the front plate pivots stay flat on the work surface, the user can make
cuts with greater stability, guaranteeing the best results in all cutting positions. The tool's shoe can be moved in and out depending on the application, greatly extending the life of the blade.
The tool offers overmold front and rear rubber grip areas for user comfort and control during extended tasks, while adding to the tool's overall durability. Die-cast gear housing and double-
