West Chester, PA, August 31, 2004 - Metabo Corporation, a leading international manufacturer of professional grade portable electric power tools and abrasives for industrial, construction and welding applications, announces the availability of its new PSE1200 reciprocating saw.

The PSE1200 offers several features that increase its versatility. The non-slip rubber coated handle can be rotated through four positions without the use of a tool. This enables the operator to optimize his or her position for cutting on a job site. Additionally, the blade, which can be changed without a wrench using the Metabo "Quick" System, can be rotated 180° to comfortably cut upward.

Other features include selectable orbital action and an adjustable blade stop. The orbital action of the blade, when selected, coupled with the powerful 1200 watt motor, delivers very aggressive cutting power where needed. The adjustable blade stop allows the user to use the entire length of the blade evenly, adding to blade life, and is helpful when cutting in tight spaces. The PSE1200 is ideal for rough separating and sawing of wood, plastics, metal pipes and foam mortar in demolition or new construction.

The PSE1200 reciprocating saw has a variable speed motor that delivers zero to 2600 strokes per minute, with a stroke length of 1-1/8". The PSE1200 is 17" long and weighs 9.3 pounds. The saw is furnished with an assortment of saw blades and a carrying case.
