Hendrickson Introduces Global Version of HAULMAAX®; Rounds Out Full Portfolio of Elastomeric Solutions
WOODRIDGE, Ill. — Hendrickson Truck Commercial Vehicle Systems announces the launch of a global version of the HAULMAAX® rear suspension system. The global HAULMAAX has its design roots planted firmly in North America and exemplifies the innovation and excellence in elastomeric solutions that Hendrickson has demonstrated throughout its history serving the heavy-duty trucking industry.
Offered in a 21-ton (T) capacity, the global HAULMAAX was designed specifically for those applications where light weight, durability and driver comfort are essential. Through its innovative design, higher strength materials and advanced manufacturing methods, HAULMAAX’s weight is greatly reduced. Proven with extensive vehicle durability and laboratory testing, HAULMAAX delivers the reliability, quality and low maintenance customers have come to expect from Hendrickson.
In addition, HAULMAAX utilizes elastomeric bolster springs and a progressive load spring (PLS) that work in synergy to provide outstanding ride quality when the truck is empty. As payload increases, the PLS further engages and functions together with the elastomeric bolster springs as they compress to provide the additional stability vocational applications need.
HAULMAAX addresses the lower-end capacity ranges of the global truck market and rounds out Hendrickson’s portfolio of elastomeric solutions that have been introduced over the last four years. In 2010, Hendrickson introduced the HUV™ vocational rear suspension system at 27T to address the global mid-range capacity market. In 2013, Hendrickson introduced ULTIMAAX™ to serve not only the mid-range capacities but also the more extreme, higher capacities with 27T – 37T and 40 – 48T solutions respectively. Both HUV and ULTIMAAX are characterized by unique designs that provide outstanding durability and significant weight savings for increased payload compared to traditional suspension designs. Both also carry a distinct elastomeric spring design that not only helps provide an ideal balance of empty ride quality and loaded stability, but also protects the chassis, cargo and body equipment from excessive vibration and road shock due to potholes and other road inconsistencies.
