Command Tooling Systems Introduces Urma's New High Performance Reamer for Superior Repeatability, Minimal Setup and Reduced Cost per Bore

RAMSEY, MN-Command Tooling Systems has announced the introduction of Urma's new high performance reamers. The Urma CircoTec RX Reamer features a completely new design, which offers faster feed rate, longer tool life and ease of use over comparable reaming systems.

CircoTec RX Reamers are available in a large diameter range from .468" (11.9 mm) to 3.960" (100.9 mm), making them ideal for applications with tight hole tolerance requirements, and where reduction of production costs are needed. The CircoTec RX reaming system is the only solid carbide system available for reaming diameters of 1.72-3.96" (43.6mm-100.6mm).

"The rugged design of Urma's CircoTec RX Reamer combined with its ease of use make it one of the most flexible holemaking solutions available," stated Brian Schied, Urma Product Manager. The new design makes changeover and setup easy. The cutting inserts are easy to change eliminating complete tool disassembly and the need for further adjustments with every changeover. Downtime is significantly decreased, while throughput is greatly increased.

CircoTec RX Reamers are competitively priced and available in both straight shank and the Beta Modul® system. Tool length can be easily adjusted unlike comparable reamers available today. The cutting inserts are designed with multiple cutting edges providing faster speeds and feed rates with repeatability of under 4 microns in run-out. Carbide or cermet inserts are available uncoated or with the option of various coatings to meet specific manufacturing requirements.
