RCBO Switch protects against excessive load currents.

Press Release Summary:

With rated currents up to 40 A and rated residual currents of 10, 30, or 300 mA, Model 5SU1 combines personal protection with protection against short circuiting, overload, and electrical fire. Each circuit is assigned its own RCBO switch, so in case of residual current, only circuit affected is switched off and all others remain functional. Busbar is located at back of device, facilitating connection of incoming cable.

Keeping Cool When the Heat Is On

With the new 5SU1 RCBO switch, Siemens Automation and Drives (A&D) has succeeded in combining personal protection with protection against short circuiting, overload and electrical fire. The device can even protect itself against excessive load currents with its miniature circuit breaker. Each circuit has been assigned its own RCBO switch, so that in case of residual current, only the circuit affected is switched off and all others remain functional. This ensures a high degree of plant availability. With rated currents up to 40 A and rated residual currents of 10, 30 or 300 mA, the devices are suitable for a wide range of uses. The busbar is located at the back of the device, making it easy for the user to connect the incoming cable.
