Raritan's Solutions for Managing IT Infrastructures and Improving Productivity Take Center Stage at Interop

SOMERSET, N.J., May 18 /- At next week's Interop 2007, Raritan will be showing its next-generation suite of new solutions to simplify data center and branch office management - including a more powerful KVM-over-IP solution for remote and 'at-the-rack' server management that will be announced at the conference.

Other products that will be on display in Raritan's booth will be the industry's first KVM smart card reader solution for added security, a new KVM switch for managing blade servers, and a turnkey solution for managing equipment typically found in remote branch offices.

Raritan also will be demonstrating its newest centralized access solution - CommandCenter® Secure Gateway 3.1 (http://integratedcontrolandmanagement.com/) - that provides a single, easy-to-use interface to manage multiple and diverse remote access and power control methods - including KVM; serial over IP; virtual KVM access through iLO/RiLOE II, Dell DRAC4 and IBM RSA II embedded solutions; software applications, such as RDP, VNC and SSH; and IPMI.

Raritan's new CommandCenter® NOC (CC-NOC) (http://commandcenter-noc.com/) solution, a finalist for the Best of Interop 2007 award, will also be on display. CC-NOC is designed for midsized organizations needing integrated service and security monitoring capabilities at an affordable price. A free 30-day trial of CC-NOC is available at: http://download.commandcenter-noc.com/.

The new Paragon® II KVM Smart Card Reader Solution (http://www.raritan.com/cac-reader/) provides an additional level of security for accessing and managing data center equipment and is compliant with the U.S. Homeland Security Presidential Directive (HSPD-12) standards. The built-in reader, which is integrated into a Paragon II Enhanced User Station, authenticates card holders against a third-party external authentication platform before providing secure access to servers. For additional security measures, Raritan's solution does not store or cache card data and requires re-authentication when changing targets.

Announced last week, the next release of Paragon® II (http://www.raritan.com/cat5-KVM/), the market-leading Cat5 KVM switch, now supports IBM BladeCenter® - the industry's most widely deployed blade server. Ideal for IT teams and other users that need secure access from a user station to multiple blades and other data center equipment, Paragon II 4.2 provides anytime, non-blocked access, and a rich suite of management features. Paragon II's stellar video resolution (1920 x 1440) is rated the best in the industry and essential in environments requiring hours of intense screen viewing.

The Dominion XRO (http://dominionxro.com/) is a complete turnkey solution for managing equipment typically found in remote branch offices. It securely extends the reach of the operations organization to branch offices, helping to reduce maintenance service calls and minimize interruptions of branch office employees, who in the past were asked to help resolve IT equipment issues. It leverages Raritan's KVM-over-IP, Serial-over-IP and remote power control technologies. Apart from servers, switches and routers, the XRO can also be used to manage POS systems, PBXs, headless servers, other network devices, serial equipment and environmental control devices.
