Raising Standards: Enermax Showcasing Next Line of Products at Consumer Electronic Show 2008

The Next Generation of Power Supplies from Enermax: Modu82+ and Pro82+

CITY OF INDUSTRY, Calif., Jan. 2 / - Enermax proudly releases Modu82+ and Pro82+ as the latest successors of its "Liberty DXX" series, setting new standards for the PC PSU industry.

The new PSU's are designed and built with "Future Ready" in mind. Not only are they one of the first on the market that complies with Intel ATX12V v2.3 guide, they also feature ultra-strong triple +12V rails each with up to 24A maximum amperage. In addition, Modu82+ series features 12pin modular design for future graphic cards support.

Efficiency is also one of decisive factors to modern systems, and Enermax has again set new benchmark for the industry by reaching 82 to 88% with Modu82+ and Pro82+.

"The PC industry in the past has always measured its progress by faster processors, bigger hard drives and ever smarter smart phones, oblivious to their energy consumption. However, Enermax feels that it's time to focus on efficiency; or rather efficient computing delivers green benefits, to reduce the carbon footprint that corporate leaves," said Michele Sun, General Manager of Enermax USA. "Green PC is not just about compliance or coercion; it's about efficiency. The Modu82+ and Pro82+ series PSU's help companies of all sizes and types take part of this Green PC trend, and cutting their utility cost and have less of an effect on the environment. Enermax makes Green PC more sustainable than any kowtowing to corporate social responsibility."

Twister Fans: Cluster, Everest and Magma

Traditional Ball & Sleeve bearing technologies and their derivates use oil to stabilize their respective bearing during rotation. Oil evaporates and deteriorates in quality over time in any mechanical design. All of them are therefore limited in their performance by the amount of oil they contain, and differ only by the method of storing and distributing the oil within the respective bearings to maximize their performance.

Enermax has overcome this "dead-end logic" by using magnets instead of oil to stabilize the bearing to create "Twister Bearing" fans. Without the friction and traction of oil-based bearings, the fans are able to run quieter. The lack of oil also allows higher ambient temperatures and longer life time.

The first Twister fans series has 3 models: Cluster, Everest, and Magma. They are all able to run for an astonishing 120,000 hours at a maximum ambient temperature of 105 degrees C.
