'Type LLR' Profile Rail Guides for Linear Motion Applications Uniquely Designed for Optimum Performance

A new series of profile rail guides for linear motion applications has been introduced by SKF Motion Technologies (Bethlehem, PA). These new SKF® Type LLR profile rail guides offer advanced features and benefits for precise linear positioning and high load-carrying capacity, high stiffness, and unlimited stroke.

Their unique features include pre-lubricated carriages incorporating foam inserts (acting as lubrication reservoirs), which eliminates a need for frequent lubrication and the associated maintenance costs. Plastic ball separators serve to reduce vibration and unwanted noise. Quiet and smooth operation of these guides is enhanced due to optimized ball recirculation and ideal ball separator geometry.

SKF Type LLR profile rail guides are available in a variety of carriage types and sizes, including standard, long, and narrow units (with or without ball separators) complemented by a wide range of rail lengths. Standardized rails (with or without rail seal cover strips) enable limitless interchangeability for all carriage versions.

These SKF profile rail guides are ready-to-mount for easy incorporation into an assembly. The guides can be customized to meet the most demanding application requirements by adding external scraper seals and/or adding a rail cover strip to seal the rail mounting holes.

This newest series joins a growing family of SKF profile rail guides for linear-motion applications in countless industries. Each consists of profile rails with four precision-ground raceways and a slide unit with four ball circulation paths. Square configuration of raceways results in guidance systems with good rigidity and load-carrying capabilities equal in all four directions.
