SOUDERTON, PA - W.A. Schmidt, Inc. announces that its line of heavy-duty Barrier Rails(TM) is available at the same price as its standard-duty model. The heavy-duty Barrier Rail line now uses the same sturdy 6" x 6" posts used in the company's structural mezzanine products. This has created material and manufacturing efficiencies that result in greater purchasing power and a corresponding reduction in cost.
Customers seeking maximum protection for personnel and machinery from accidental damage due to forklift traffic or other hazards will no longer need to pay a premium for this higher level of protection. W.A. Schmidt's Barrier Rail is constructed entirely of ASTM A36 structural components. Posts are 6" x 6" structural tube with 10" x 10" x 1/2" welded base plates; rails are center brake-formed structural channels. Barrier Rail is available in three standard heights, 15", 30" and 44", and may be ordered with single, double or triple rails, in lengths up to 10 ft. Custom lengths are also available. The finish is baked on two-part urethane yellow paint for durability and high visibility. Barrier Rail can be purchased through any of W.A.
