Radwell International, Inc. Selects Swisslog to Automate its Finished Goods and Picking Processes with Click&Pick®

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - Radwell, leading international supplier and repair center for industrial electrical and electronic control devices, selected Swisslog to automate its finished goods and picking processes at its new distribution center in Willingboro, NJ with the purchase of a Click and Pick® solution powered by AutoStore.

Radwell International stocks and sells new and surplus industrial automation for plant floor and facilities maintenance (MRO) machinery. In addition, the company has extensive repair capabilities for electronic and electrico mechanical equipment products used in industrial manufacturing. In 2003, the international company launched their Se Internet website www.PLCcenter.com resulting in rapid growth. The new 312,000-square-foot distribution center will be located in Willingboro, NJ and will allow Radwell to merge multiple facilities into one while also accommodating its growing needs.

"Radwell has a strong history of providing the highest reliability and best service. We will live up to our company motto, 'think savings first and never sacrifice quality or customer service,' even more passionately as we adopt Swisslog's ClickPick goods-to-person solution to transform our storage and picking processes," said Brian Radwell, CEO. "Not only will this help support our tremendous growth, but it will allow our employees to focus on what is really important, our customers."

Swisslog is the leading supplier of the AutoStore technology in the United States and globally. Said Markus Schmidt, senior vice president Americas, "As a provider of goods-to-person solutions, we are very pleased that Radwell has become our eleventh AutoStore system in the U.S. Every Click&Pick solution is tailored to the unique requirements of our customers and our expert team deploys our standardized WMS / WES warehouse software to provide the best control of inventory, faster picking times and an unparalleled user interface."

Radwell offers its customers over twenty million SKU's with eight million SKU's in active stock. With an average of 2,000 orders per day from the NJ location and growing rapidly, the new system will allow them ample room to grow with 560 picks / hour. The solution will also be used to complete production requisitions for parts needed to complete repairs.
