Radiometer features backlit display.

Press Release Summary:

Model IL1430 UV Actinic Radiometer is pre-programmed to display measurements in effective mW/cm² and mJ/cm² with spectral range of 200-400 nm. With backlit display that can be read in low ambient light, field-portable, NIST traceable instrument can take measurements where UV hazard may exist. Unit integrates doses at each wavelength to obtain average dose/hr and total doses/day of UVA, UVB, and UVC radiation. It is powered by 4 AA batteries.

Original Press Release:

UV Actinic Hazard Radiometer has Backlit Display for Low Light Conditions

A fully portable, NIST traceable radiometer for making UV hazard measurements in low ambient light, that conforms to OSHA and ACGIH requirements, is available from International Light, Inc. of Newburyport, Massachusetts.

The IL1430 UV Actinic Radiometer has a detector which is pre-programmed to display measurements in effective mW/cm² and mJ/cm², with a spectral range of 200 to 400 nm (274 nm peak). Featuring a backlit LCD display that can be read in low ambient light situations, this field portable instrument is designed
to take measurements where the UV hazard may actually exist.

Providing "real-world" measurement capability, the IL1430 UV Actinic Radiometer can integrate doses at each wavelength to obtain the average dose/hour and total doses/day of either UVA, UVB, and UVC radiation, depending upon detector. Totally rejecting out-of-band radiation to <1 part in 10,000, it stores calibration history and previous zero conditions, and is powered by 4AA batteries.

The IL1430 UV Actinic Radiometer is priced at $1,950. complete with a detector, filter, and carrying case. Literature is available upon request.
