Radiant Zemax to Feature Live Quality Inspection Demos at Display Week '14
REDMOND, Wash. - Radiant Zemax, a leading supplier of automated visual inspection solutions for the flat panel display (FPD) industry, announces that it will feature live product demonstrations in booth #621 at Display Week '14. Set to take place June 3-5, 2014 in the San Diego Convention Center, Display Week is the premier worldwide event showcasing advances in electronic display technology. The exhibition will also mark the company's official rollout of its latest line of imaging photometers - optimized for production line testing of FPDs - the ProMetric Y series.
Radiant Zemax's integrated test and measurement solutions, based on CCD imaging technology, enable manufacturers to identify and characterize defects in displays with greater accuracy, efficiency, and thoroughness than manual inspection methods. Users can tailor pass/fail criteria to address their individual quality concerns with configurable tests for line and pixel defects, light leakage, non-uniformity, and mura defects, among others. The systems can also detect cosmetic defects such as scratches, dents, and dings. In R&D settings, users can readily correct potential design flaws; on the factory floor, out-of-spec products can be rejected or corrected before they make it into the supply chain and into the hands of customers.

A highlight will be a robotic multi-surface test station, incorporating two ProMetric™ Imaging Colorimeters, lighting, and a positioning system housed in a controlled fixture to demonstrate an automated tablet PC inspection. The system is driven by TrueTest™, Radiant Zemax's flagship software package for automated visual inspection applications. Visitors can also participate in the company's interactive video game, designed to illustrate the performance of TrueTest in a fun and interactive way; learn the basic principles of photometric technologies; and test the company's various software programs. Finally, Radiant Zemax will introduce its latest imaging photometers - the ProMetric Y Series. Built for production environments, ProMetric Y features a small form factor and high resolution for display test and cosmetic inspection applications.
