New Arc Reflection Radar "Prelocates" Faults

The newest offering from Radar Engineers, of Portland, Oregon, is specially designed for use with Arc Reflection systems to "prelocate" faults on buried primary power cables. The unit plugs directly into most arc reflection filters. It is a reliable and easy-to-use radar for new arc reflection systems or a state-of-the-art replacement for older arc reflection radars.

The Model 1665 features user-friendly software, which automatically sets the range at turn on, captures and holds the fault trace at the instant of the thump, and automatically displays the distance to the fault on a large color display.

Fifteen waveform memories are available. There are three modes on the 1665: Arc Reflection, Direct L1 and 3 O comparison and difference.

The Model 1665 has an RS232 port for computer interface. It operates on AC Power (115/230 VAC, 50/60Hz.) The unit measures 16"W x 7.5"H x 10"D and weighs 14.2 pounds.
