New 19" Wall-Mount Racks And Cabinets For Network Equipment Help Save Floor Space

Anoka, MN-May 17, 2002- Hoffman has announced a line of new 19" wall-mount racks and cabinets designed to accommodate network equipment in sites where floor space is limited. The new EIA 310-D industry standard racks and cabinets include five different models available in a total of 18 different configurations. Typical applications for wall-mount racks and cabinets include
telephone and voice mail equipment, switches, patch panels, punch-down blocks, small routers and fiber-to-copper connectivity.

Hinged wall-mount panels, available in 1, 2, 4, 6 or 8 rack units are designed to economically accommodate partial network installations or remote nodes, while fixed wall-mount racks in 12, 20, 25 and 32 rack units are ideal for banks of small networking equipment. Bottom hinged panels in 4, 6 and 8 rack units and side mount cabinets in 2 and 4 rack units, enclose critical components and provide easy access. And the swing-out rack in 12, 20, 25 and 32 rack units offer easy servicing and maintenance with complete access to wiring in large banks of equipment.

Hoffman's wall-mount racks and cabinets are constructed of 12 or 16 gauge steel and finished with durable black low gloss powder paint. Units are built to EIA specifications of 1.75in. per rack unit and 12-24 tapped holes with included rack mounting screws. Large cable exits on the back surface facilitate installation and/or maintenance, and cable tie-down slots on most models help manage cable strain and permit large radius service loops.
