The RS-100 makes full utilization of its ultra compact form factor, providing high-speed processing in a configurable system architecture for customization in massive data centers where ISPs, ASPs and other mid-range service providers require rack space optimization with high data storage capacity. Dual processors, dual SCSI hot-plug hard drives and dual 10/100 Base-T Ethernet deliver maximum computing power for mission-critical applications.
Flexible Expansion Capacity Optimizes Rack Space
The Power Racer RS-100 Series is a super slim 19" rackmount chassis that meets the EIA RS-310C standard. Its rugged, sturdy steel chassis and high efficiency cooling system are designed to withstand shocks, dust, humidity, vibration and high operating temperatures in harsh environments. Extra long (8"), 11 gauge (1/8") cold rolled steel mounting brackets are secured at six different points on the chassis, to prevent the server from flexing in the rack.
To ensure the high reliability needed to maintain maximum uptime, the RS-100 has superior thermal management. Four 10 CFM air intake fans provide 40 CFM of ventilating power to maintain optimum operating conditions in the ultra compact 1U space.
The RS-100 accommodates up to four internal 3.5" hard disk drive bays, in addition to one 5.25" accessible drive bay for a CD-ROM drive and one 3.5" accessible drive bay for a floppy drive. The single-screw design allows easy access to the hard disk mount for easy disk replacement and minimal downtime. The universal power supply accepts AC input 95V to 265V or DC input power -42V to -56V for telco environments.
Industrial Strength Server Handles Any Configuration
Offering unprecedented configuration scalability, the series' highly integrated serverboard design provides processing support for up to two Celeron or Pentium® II processors and supports 4 GB of PC-133 SDRAM. A 1" height SCA Ultra-2 or Ultra-3 SCSI interface transfers data at 80 MB or 160 MB per second respectively. Optional RAID controller (levels 0, 1(0+1), 3, 5) provides hot swappable hard disk redundancy.
Full I/O Featured
The Arista Power Racer RS-100 has a full complement of I/O options including dual 82559 Fast Ethernet controllers that support 10BaseT and 10BaseTX standards via RJ-45 connectors. The serverboard's full set of PC I/O interfaces ensures compatibility with standard devices and components. There is also a 32-bit, 33 MHz PCI expansion slot or a 64-bit, 66 MHz slot that can accommodate any standard PCI expansion card.
