AAEON Announces the FWS-7350 1U Rackmount Network Appliance with the New Intel® Atom(TM) Processor C2358
Taipei, Taiwan — AAEON, a major developer of industrial computing solutions, today announces the FWS-7350 1U Rackmount Network Appliance with four LAN ports, featuring the latest power-efficient, singlechip SoC (System on Chip) Intel® Atom™ processor C2358. Making a huge leap in performance from its predecessors 4GB of maximum RAM, the FWS-7350 houses up to a whopping 64GB of DDR3 Memory and four 10/100/1000Base-TX Ethernet ports with optional LAN bypass functions. With a PCIe[x4] expansion slot, two USB 2.0 ports, two SATA 3.0Gb/s ports and the option for three SATA 1.5Gb/s ports in addition to a CF socket support, administrators can have the flexibility and performance bandwidth to manage today’s demanding cloud computing and high data rate content that web users have come to expect from providers.

With integrated Intel Advanced Encryption Standard New Instructions (AES-NI), the FWS-7350 is able to significantly accelerate the execution of complex encryption software- only driven solutions for robust 128-bits, 192-bits, or 256-bits encryption for truly dynamic secure transfers. Furthermore, with integrated Intel® Quick Assist Acceleration Technology, the FWS-7350 provides a framework that allows the use of special accelerators to provide a uniform means of communication and resource management across applications, accelerators, and acceleration technologies. It also allows better portability across varying platforms.
AAEON’s customized designs allow for varying configurations, including any of the Intel Atom processors C2000 product family with two to eight cores, to suit various network requirements today. Lower power draw using the new Intel Atom processors mean lower fan speed and lower noise levels, making the FWS-7350 a preferred energy efficient platform for energy-conscious server rooms. For extended distances and higher bandwidth, the FWS-7350 offers fiber connectivity in addition to the default copper connections. With an added optional Network Interface Module (NIM), the FWS-7350 can support up to twelve copper LANs or eight copper LANs plus four fiber LAN connections for dual-channel Small Form-Factor Pluggable transceivers (SFP) to give full compatibility with SONET, Gigabit Ethernet, Fiber Channel and other communication standards used industry-wide today. As for ease of control, monitoring and settings, a front panel LCM display offers IT managers a friendly interface to carry out on-site management.
