Pulizzi Announces New High Current 3-Phase Power Distribution Unit

Santa Ana, CA-Pulizzi Engineering, Inc. announces the release of the new PC3365 Series rack mount power distribution unit (PDU). This new series is available in both North American and European configurations. The North American version input power is 3-phase 120/208 volt 30 amp, via a NEMA L21-30P plug. Power output is at 120 volts and distributed through 24 IEC C13 "computer style" receptacles, providing 8,640 VA of power. The European version input power is 3-phase 230/400 volt 20 amp via an IEC 60309 plug. Power output is at 230 volts and distributed through 24 IEC C13 "computer style" receptacles, providing 11,040 VA of power.

The 19-inch rack mount PC3365 Series is 2U (3.5 inches) tall. The front panel features indicator lights and circuit breakers (North American version only). The power input is located on the rear through an attached 15-foot power cable along with the power output, with an integrated cable restraint and management system. The rugged enclosure is all steel and has a durable black powder coat finish. This series comes standard with electrical noise power filtering providing protection from electromagnetic and radio frequency interference (EMI and RFI). All systems, including UPS connected equipment, will benefit from this feature. Noise is often introduced into the system after the UPS, or is picked up on unshielded power cables.

This new PDU is part of the Pulizzi "Power Density" series and is ideal for a variety of applications. The high power 3-phase input allows for an entire rack of equipment to be powered from a single power cord input. This approach reduces cabling costs and cable clutter when compared to mounting multiple power strips in an electronic cabinet enclosure. Ideal for deployment in data centers, the PC3365 will support the most power intense environments. It is also an ideal solution for OEM designers that wish to configure rack-based systems, such as data storage or super-computing systems. The similar form factor between the North American and European configurations offers the OEM designer a modular power solution that meets worldwide requirements. The PC3365 is UL Listed and meets UL 60950-1 requirements for branch circuit protection and safety. The PC3365 Series ranges in price from $1288.00 to $1676.00 depending on options, with OEM quantity discounts available.
