R&D Molders, Inc. Adds a New Bekum 155 Blow Molding Machine to Serve New Home and Garden Application

(Georgetown, TX) R&D Molders, Inc. adds a new Bekum 155 blow molding machine to serve new home and garden application. The machine includes dual heads, double sided shuttle for multi cavity output. The work cell also required a custom built, dual station robotic trimming machine downstream from the molding machine to properly trim the container.  This was a challenge due to the rectangular shape of the container as opposed to the more conventional round containers.

Future plans include an automatic part take out system, color feeder, and closed loop material handling system.
