Quintum® Announces New Survivable "S" Versions for Additional Tenor VoIP Gateway and Switch Models

The new Survivable Tenor S provides a complete VoIP branch office solution assuring business continuity in the event of IP network failure.
Quintum Technologies, a leading innovator in VoIP technologies, announced today that the survivability function, which was first introduced in the Tenor AF and AX lines, is now available on the digital Tenor DX and BX VoIP MultiPath Switches.
Quintum addressed the need to assure business continuity in branch office locations in the event that connectivity to the main IP PBX or IP Centrex is lost. Small to medium sized enterprises, larger enterprises with remote offices deploying VoIP in IP-PBX branch offices, and service providers deploying hosted IP-PBX services CPE and IP Centrex CPE, are now assured of survivability through the local PSTN for local access and E911 emergency services.
The new Survivable Tenor S contains a local SIP proxy that provides survivability for local SIP endpoints and intelligent call routing to keep any SIP-based VoIP network up and running if connectivity with the main proxy server is lost. It will assure that basic, essential calling functions will continue even if connectivity to the central or hosted IP PBX is lost. And its unique endpoint discovery feature allows Tenor to be easily deployed without requiring configuration for SIP endpoints.
Tenor S provides a powerful tool for integrating your legacy network with VoIP. Tenors sophisticated call routing and programmable interfaces allow the integration of legacy telephony devices and PBXs into an IP telephony network. A single Tenor can integrate a legacy PBX, provide connectivity to the PSTN and provide survivability for SIP endpoints- making migrating from your current network to IP telephony over time very easy.
The new digital survivable Tenor S products supplement the original Tenor product line, which supports H.323 and SIP-based support of traditional PBX trunking, legacy equipment VoIP integration and VoIP-PSTN connectivity. Both the regular and the survivable analog Tenor AF and AX series products support legacy phones, fax machines and modem-based devices.
All Tenors offer anywhere anytime remote management, even if they are deployed behind NAT firewalls with the external Remote Management Session Server. The RMSS allows easy and secure access to remote Tenors diagnostics, upgrade and configuration, even behind the enterprise NAT/firewall.

The new Survivable Tenor S is currently available in both the Tenor DX and BX series product lines. Starting list prices are $990.00 for the Survivable Tenor BX and $3300 for the Survivable Tenor DX.
