Questra Partners With Atos Origin to Expand Deployment of Intelligent Device Management

Growing Market Demand for Remote Monitoring, Diagnostics, and Service Brings Together Leaders in IT Services and IDM Solutions

REDWOOD CITY, Calif., Oct. 10 / Questra Corporation, the leader in Intelligent Device Management (IDM), today announced a strategic alliance with Atos Origin, a leading international IT services company. The combination of Questra's industry-proven IDM software solution and Atos Origin's world-class consulting, systems integration, and managed operations will enable European manufacturers to manage devices and equipment at customer sites much more effectively and efficiently.

"We see tremendous demand for IDM across all European manufacturing industries," said Pieter Buijs, CTO at Atos Origin. "As a result, Atos Origin is building a consult, build and operate practice around Questra's IDM solution and looks forward to working with Questra to grow this opportunity."

Atos Origin will offer business process consulting, technical systems integration services, and managed hosting services of the Questra solution in either the customer's data center or in Atos Origin hosting facilities.

Both Questra and Atos Origin have strategic relationships with SAP. Atos Origin has more than 20 years of experience with SAP applications, more than 4,400 SAP application consultants worldwide, as well as SAP certified data centers in all geographical regions. Questra's IDM solution is part of Atos Origin's "Maximize Manufacturing Together" initiative. Questra, with its RemoteService(TM) Composite Application, is an "SAP xApps Certified -- Powered by NetWeaver" partner. The Questra RemoteService composite allows manufacturers to change their service business processes so that a device in the end-customer environment can automatically initiate a service call instead of a human being placing a phone call. The partnership will help manufacturers implement new service business processes enabled by IDM and integrated into their SAP service applications.

"This alliance is the latest indicator that the IDM market is in the mainstream," said Emil Wang, president and CEO of Questra. "In the last year, our customers have continued to launch new remote service offerings and win awards. SAP has strategically recognized the market and now Atos Origin, a leading systems integrator, is bringing its business process and technical expertise to manufacturers' IDM initiatives on a worldwide basis."
