QuesCom Showcases WiFi GSM Seamless VCC for All PBXs at Mobile World Congress 2008

QuesCom Presents Today to Enterprise What Operators are Promising for Tomorrow

SOPHIA ANTIPOLIS, France, February 5/ -- QuesCom presents first in the market, automatic and seamless Voice Call Continuity solution from WiFi to GSM and vice versa. This makes QuesCom MobiQ, the first Enterprise Centric VCC solution, independent from core network, PBX and mobile phones.

QuesCom with dual mode phones, such as Nokia E-series, can today move between different radio access technologies while maintaining a consistent user experience.

QuesCom Mobility Appliance for Enterprise is a PBX and GSM network independent platform that selects WiFi or GSM networks. A phone call started over GSM can automatically switch to VoIP when entering the company building, as the WiFi coverage is available, and vice versa. Unchanged user experience and cost reduction are the main benefits.

QuesCom partners with all telephony vendors, such as Nokia, Aastra-Matra, Alcatel, Avaya or Cisco and embeds fg microtec VCC client technology.

Integrated with the enterprise PBX, QuesCom Appliance offers a Voice Call Continuity Application. The QuesCom Server is notified by the dual-mode equipment when a hand over is required. Then, it ensures that the new path is ready before switching from one network to the other. Rules of selections are defined by internal policies. Voice and network quality are constantly monitored to ensure best voice quality.

QuesCom Mobility Appliance and MobiQ client software has been already delivering advanced enterprise features onto the mobile equipment.
Adding VCC to dual mode handsets reinforces QuesCom European leadership on Fixed-Mobile Convergence solution for Enterprise.
