Krytar Announces New, Compact, 90-Degree Quadrature Hybrid Coupler



Offering High Performance Over Ultra-Broadband Frequency from 1.7 GHz TO 36.0 GHz

SUNNYVALE, CALIF. - - - KRYTAR, Inc., a leader in the design and production of ultra- broadband microwave components and test equipment announces a new 90-degree quadrature hybrid coupler offering high performance over the broadband frequency range of 1.7 to 36.0 GHz in a single compact and lightweight package.

KRYTAR's new hybrid coupler offers the widest frequency coverage in a single package on the market and provides superior performance. KRYTAR's Model 3017360 is a multi-purpose, quadrature hybrid stripline design that exhibits excellent amplitude balance with ultra-broadband quadrature phasing between the output ports. Applications including monopulse comparators, power combining/dividing, mixers, modulators and phased array antenna systems.

KRYTAR's technological advances has extended the frequency range of this 4-port unit from 1.7 to 36.0 GHz with Coupling Loss of 3 dB, greater than 12 dB Isolation, ±1.7 dB Amplitude Imbalance and ±12-degrees of Phase Imbalance. The hybrid coupler exhibits Insertion Loss of less than 3.2 dB across the frequency range. Maximum VSWR is 1.85. Power Rating is 20 W average and 3 kW peak. Model 3017360 is a compact package measuring 2.6 inches (L) x 0.625 inches (W) x 0.50 inches (H), weighs only 1.6 ounces, and comes with 2.92-mm coaxial female connectors. Operating temperature is -54° to 85° C. This 90-degree quadrature hybrid coupler can be manufactured to meet military specifications.
