One Stop Systems Introduces Gigabit Ethernet AdvancedMC Board Solution

o Designed for AdvancedTCA and MicroTCA Systems
o Quad Gigabit Ethernet connectivity

ESCONDIDO, Calif., August 15, 2007 - One Stop Systems, a global provider of industrial-grade computing systems and components, today introduced its Gigabit Ethernet AdvancedMC (AMC) board with a native PCI Express (PCIe) design. The board offers four Gigabit Ethernet copper ports for use in a wide variety of next generation wireless and storage networking equipment.

The LAN AMC board is a single-width full height module, making it ideal for telecom equipment manufacturers to add multiple 10/100/1000 Ethernet ports to networking equipment that utilizes the new AdvancedMC form factor. OEMs can use the LAN AMC board in high-performance embedded systems according to MicroTCA specifications. AMC cards are switch fabric based, hot-swappable, and fully managed for use in carrier and enterprise-class applications.

Designed to deliver full wire-speed performance on all four Gigabit ports simultaneously, the LAN AMC board is based on two Marvell® Yukon® 88E8062 Gigabit Ethernet Controllers. The 88E8062 controller is based on Marvell's Concurrent Data Streaming (CDS) architecture that utilizes a highly innovative scheme to reduce the impact of system and peripheral latencies on PCIe throughput to enable superior data streaming and application performance.

Each network interface on the LAN AMC can auto-sense speed, simplex, duplex, and flow control, and detects polarity (no need for cross over cables) and cable lengths. The front panel of the board supports four IEEE 802.3ab compliant connections over 1000BaseT Cat-5e copper wire through industry standard RJ-45 connectors.

"One Stop Systems delivers a wide selection of modular I/O solutions to our OEM customers and ATCA partners," said Steve Cooper, CEO of One Stop Systems. "The LAN AMC board leverages One Stop Systems' mix of PMC and PTMC-based designs for local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN) connectivity in embedded systems,"

The Quad-port LAN AMC lists for $1,011.00 and is available immediately.
