QAS, helpIT Systems Partner to Improve Data Quality

BOSTON, Jan. 30 -- QAS, an Experian® company, and leading supplier of address verification solutions, today announced its partnership with helpIT systems, an expert in the field of data cleansing to improve business' data quality. The partnership provides organizations with data hygiene tools that verify and standardize addresses and identify and process duplicate records. As a result, organizations can increase their productivity by spending less time identifying and processing customer information and more time on data strategies like segmentation and targeting. Under the agreement, QAS will resell helpIT systems' deduplication tool, matchIT.

Today's multichannel environment creates challenges for organizations when processing vast amounts of incoming data. Because customers can provide information from multiple entry points, such as the phone, web or point of sale terminals, the number of duplicate records in businesses' databases has increased. Combined with the constantly changing nature of data, many companies struggle to accurately and quickly match information from each channel. This data quality challenge affects a wide variety of businesses including multichannel retailers, catalog and mail-order companies, financial services providers, and universities.

"By using matchIT in addition to QAS' QuickAddress products, organizations can dramatically improve their data quality so they can devote more time to understanding and reaching customers and prospects," explains Joel Curry, chief operating officer at QAS. QuickAddress products verify and standardize addresses at the point of entry. The matchIT tool compliments the QuickAddress suite of data quality tools by providing a point solution for organizations who wish to manage their own duplicate records.

matchIT is a flexible and customizable product that identifies and processes duplicate data from multiple sources by using sophisticated matching algorithms. Users can quickly identify duplicate records based on a combination of fields such as contact names, address information or account numbers. The software also allows database specialists to recognize and maintain the most current records and remove out-of-date information. When matchIT is combined with the names and addresses verified and standardized with QuickAddress products, a higher number of duplicate records can be found. "Because of its intelligent matching capabilities, matchIT is an ideal complement to QAS' data quality products," notes helpIT systems' president, Robert Heidenreich. matchIT and QuickAddress products accurately and quickly standardize, clean and merge incoming data so it can be leveraged for strategic customer communications.

Once a data quality solution is deployed, organizations also increase efficiency in their call centers, improve direct marketing response rates and realize a higher confidence in business and financial reporting. Clean data allows businesses to create a true 360° view of their customers and sets the foundation for accurate customer segmentation and better performance of marketing campaigns and communications.
