New From EAO, The Double-Sided Glass-Mountable Door Operating Pushbutton
EAO, world leading switch and HMI product manufacturer, has added a new, double-sided glass-mountable option to its Series 56 range of door operating pushbutton solutions. With a pushbutton that is operable both on the inside and outside of the door, this new product complements the existing range.
The Series 56 range has been designed to meet the changing needs of the world-wide public transport industry and is suitable for use in the refurbishment of many classes of existing rolling stock as well as "new builds". This self-cleaning, snap-action-switching system features the excellent tactile feedback of a mechanical switch.
The pushbutton includes a switching unit with a choice of red, green or yellow halo LED illuminations. LED guarantees a minimum life of 100,000 hours and therefore much greater reliability than the filament bulb illumination used by many other products on the market. The pressel area can be supplied with raised symbols or engraved to customer requirements. The large operating surface meets the latest disability and Rail Vehicle Accessibility regulations, making the switch ideally suited for operation by the sight impaired or disabled. A choice of lens materials and colors is also available to meet customer specific requirements.
Series 56 is sealed to IP67 from the front and IP65 from the rear and has a rugged anti-vandal design. It has a mechanical life of two million operations. The switch is rated at 137VDC/200mA maximum and 5VDC/5mA minimum. The LED illumination voltage is rated at 24 / 36 / 48 / 72 or 110 VDC. Operating temperature tolerances range from -40° C to +80° C (-40°F to 176°F).
