ITW Switches Announces its New 'Lo-Carb' Switch; A Low-Cost, Right-Angle Miniature Pushbutton


Harwood Heights, III. - ITW Switches has announced its new "Lo-Carb" switch - a low-cost, right angle miniature pushbutton switch for printed circuit board mount. Called the "Lo-Carb" because of its low cost, the Series 100 Right-Angle Pushbutton features momentary or self-lock (maintained) action, single or double pole, PCB terminals, and silver contacts. A wide variety of keycap styles and colors - even brushed metallic and chrome - is also available at very low cost.

The new Lo-Carb switch is ideal for high volume, low-cost electrical applications, including toys, consumer electronics, telecom/datacom, test and measurement, audio, and medical applications.

Able to handle just under one ampere of current, the Lo-Carb is a member of ITW Switches' new "Flex-Tech" low current product family. Up to 800mA at 30 VDC, this new switch also features non-shorting contacts, low operating force, low initial contact resistance, and full travel of just 0.14 inches (3.5mm). Travel lock is 0.10 inches (2.5mm).
