HARTING RJ Industrial® Push Pull - the Smallest RJ 45 Connector with Protection Degree IP 67
The HARTING Technology Group presented the newly developed RJ Industrial Push Pull connector at SPS/IPC/Drives 2003 in Nuremberg, Germany, as the future standard interface for Industrial Ethernet communication.
This Ethernet connector belongs to the HARTING RJ Industrial® product family and is due to its small contact pitch the smallest RJ 45 connector available with protection degree IP 67. The connector requires as little space as an M12 jack, which is less than 50% of space required compared to currently available other solutions. This feature facilitates a high packaging density of ports in miniaturized devices.
HARTING RJ Industrial® Push Pull can be terminated without any special tools to industrial cables with the diameter up to AWG 22. Additionally, HARTING offers pre-assembled and individually tested patch cables. The smart push pull design of the connector allows locking and unlocking with just one hand.
Therefore, the Profibus Nutzer Organisation (PNO) specifies this connector as the standard interface for PROFInet applications.
