APEM Introduces Sealed Push-Pull Pushbutton Switch
13000 Series Offers Superior Durability and Safety
Haverhill, MA, - APEM Components, a leading manufacturer of quality switches and joysticks, introduces the 13000 series push-pull switch. This sealed push button switch, designated the 13440, maintains a down position when activated and requires an upward or pull force to de-activate. The switch requires approximately 5 pounds of force to activate in both the push and pull directions. The 13440 is designed for high-reliability applications such as radio remote controls and is ideal for both military and industrial applications.
The 13440 pushbutton switch features gold plated, solid silver contacts, a high strength double shell case and a fully sealed construction. Sealing features include an o-ring actuator seal, a panel sealing washer and epoxy sealed terminals. Available with both solder lug and printed circuit terminals, the 13440 features a 15/32" mounting bushing.
The low profile construction of the 13440 makes it ideal for applications where behind-the-panel space is limited. Switch contacts are rated for low level switching and for resistive loads of up to 4 Amps at 24 VDC. The total actuator travel is.078" (2mm). The switch bushing and hardware are black chrome plated and the actuator dome is a red anodized aluminum.
