Nitrogen Enhanced Purge System for Gas Drying and Corrosion Inhibition of Electronic Systems and Enclosures

Tucson, AZ. The NEPS 1000 Advantage nitrogen enhanced purge system from AGM Container Controls represents the latest development for improving the effectiveness and efficiency of dry nitrogen purging of systems and equipment requiring gas drying and corrosion inhibition.

Providing easy-to-use single connection purging with automatic operation, this portable self-contained system delivers the most efficient use of nitrogen, with reduced consumption, by measuring the dryness of the purge gas as it leaves the system being dried.

Suitable for use with pipeline and continuous dryers, as well as containers and enclosures, this user-programmable unit features a choice of three pressure cycles to ensure that the dry gas influences all the space volume within equipment. It also has a pressure readout and a dewpoint monitor enabling gas dryness to be checked before purging.

This robust instrument is ready to operate by simply connecting the dry nitrogen source to the inlet connection and the equipment being dried to the purge connection. When the selected pressure setting is achieved, an internal control valve allows the gas to flow to the exhaust port where the mixture's dewpoint is measured and displayed.

Typical cycle time is 15 to 20 seconds depending on equipment volume. The purging process then continues until the desired dewpoint protection has been achieved. The system can also be used for multiple equipment purging.

Maximizing the nitrogen gas purging method of removing the moisture/water vapor to create a dry environment within equipment or a system, the NEPS 1000 Advantage boasts a host of capabilities and functionality for more effective control of the purging operation.

The single point purging system eliminates the problem in traditional conditioning that depends on gas flowing from an entry connection to an outlet port, whereby the gas follows the easiest path out, which can often lead to "pockets" of unconditioned gas.
