Punch-Pins Fasten Permanently to Sheet Metal Without Drilling

EAST PROVIDENCE, RI, September 28, 2007 - Punch-Pins, from Amtak Fasteners, eliminate the need for drilling when attaching light loads, such as nameplates and identification tags, to metal doors, electrical cabinets and steel tubing. The primary application for Punch-Pins is attaching UL Labels to steel fire doors. Punch-Pins are applied with a portable air tool in a simple, one-step operation. No surface preparation is necessary and the finished installation is permanent, holding up to 250 lbs.

Punch-Pins eliminate the costly problems associated with fasteners that require drilled holes, such as metal chips damaging valve seats and electric motor magnets, and drill bits breaking and needing to be replaced. Punch-Pins compare favorably to adhesive fastening because they can be used on oily, painted or rusted surfaces with no surface preparation and the finished installment is permanent, with no waiting for adhesives to cure.
