Pumps use airbleed priming valves to relieve trapped vapors.

Press Release Summary:

Series C80 Valves automatically open to allow Hydra-Cell F/G-20 through D/G-12 Series Pumps to self-prime by relieving system of trapped vapors or air rather than causing pump airlock. Valves automatically close to provide immediate full system pressure. Mounting horizontally or vertically, valves operate in systems with minimum discharge pressure of 75 psi and handle pressures up to 2,500 psi. Flow range is 1.5-10 gpm with temperatures to 200°F.

New Airbleed Priming Valves Automatically Relieve Trapped Vapors in Pump Systems

MINNEAPOLIS, MN - Wanner Engineering introduces C80 Series Airbleed Priming Valves. These valves automatically open to allow F/G-20 through D/G-12 Series Hydra-Cell pumps to self-prime by quickly relieving the system of trapped vapors or air rather than compressing the gas and causing pump airlock. The valves then automatically close to provide immediate full system pressure.

These easy-to-install valves are available in a variety of materials of construction and mount horizontally or vertically to satisfy various application requirements. They are designed for operation in systems with a minimum discharge pressure of 75 psi (5 bar), and are tested to handle pressure up to 2500 psi (172 bar). They offer a flow range of 1.5 to 10 GPM (5-37 l/min) with temperatures up to 200°F.
