Danvers, MA August, 2002...Ophir Optronics, Inc. announces a new generation of high performance enhanced PE25 and PE50 Pyroelectric Heads, used to make pulse energy measurements of lasers. The new generation PE25 and PE50 (Metallic absorber 0.19-3.0µm) offer maximum pulse rate limits to 4,000Hz, twice the previous limit for these heads. The linearity specification has also been improved from 2% to 1%. In addition, the thicknesses of the Pyroelectric Heads have been reduced to 24mm from the previous 33mm design.
The new generation model PE50 Pyroelectric Head has further reduced the lower limit energy measurement range from 40µJ to 15µJ.
The new generation PE25BB and PE50BB (Black absorber 0.19-2.0µm) Pyroelectric Heads maximum pulse width measurement range can now make measurements of pulse widths up to 10mS, as compared to the previous limit of 3mS.
