Press Release Summary:
SurgeTek(TM) ZM-series (Zero-Maintenance) pulsation dampeners reduce up to 75% of pulsations caused by positive displacement pumps during compression stroke in down-hole pumping situations to smooth flow, extend part life, and minimize downtime. Each series member features direct-connection and maintenance-free features. Offered in 5, 10, and 15 gal capacity models, series comes in range of sizes for different media processing applications and flow rates.

CoorsTek Introduces Maintenance-Free Pulsation Dampener
Introduction part of a strategy to broaden pulsation stabilization product line
October 17, 2006 - Odessa, TX - Permian Basin Oil Show - CoorsTek, a large provider of oilfield-related products, today officially augmented their line of pulsation stabilizing equipment to include a Zero-Maintenance (ZM-series) pulsation dampener. This is the latest addition to the company's SurgeTek(TM) pulsation management line which has grown significantly since they first served the market segment in 1962.
In down-hole pumping situations, nearly all positive displacement pumps create a pulsation - amplified during the compression stroke of the pump which then sends surges down stream. Depending upon system variables like pump speed, media pumped, and pump type, this pulsation often creates severe problems. The ZM-series pulsation dampeners reduce this pulsation by up to 75% over a variable operating range and play a significant role in smoothing flow, extending life of expensive line components, and reducing downtime.
"Our SurgeTek ZM-series fills a gap in our long-standing product line of pulsation management equipment. Its direct-connection and maintenance-free features are attractive to many of our customers," stated Lloyd Sobel, Director of the Energy Group for CoorsTek. "We've already received several inquiries for these new units and expect very favorable results," continued Sobel.
The Zero-Maintenance (ZM) series is available in a range of sizes for different media processing and flow rates. Dampeners are offered in 5, 10, and 15 gallon capacity models. The dampeners will be sold through the CoorsTek Odessa, Texas, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Red Deer, Alberta, Canada facilities.
