Pull Switch provides emergency stop signaling.

Press Release Summary:

Series 1CPS Safety Cable Pull Switch can operate at typical cable span of 250 ft in environment with temperature change of ±30°F when endspring is used. Internal mechanism latches on both slackened cable and pulled cable, eliminating unidentified nuisance stops caused by intermittent slack cable due to temperature variations or vibration. Device is CE marked, and UL and CSA tested. LED status indicator is available. Gold-plated contacts are optional.

Original Press Release:

Honeywell Introduces the 1CPS Safety Cable Pull Switch for Emergency Stop Signalling Covering Up To 76 Meters (250 Feet)

NEWHOUSE, UK, 30th May, 2003 - Honeywell [NYSE:HON] Sensing and Control announces the introduction of the 1CPS Series Safety Cable Pull Switch, which provides a readily accessible emergency stop capability over a long, linear distance. Compared to multiple emergency stop buttons, this switch is a cost-effective means of emergency stop signalling for conveyor equipment.

The 1CPS is capable of operating at a typical cable span of 76 meters (250 ft.) in an environment with a temperature change of ± 17°C (±30°F) when an endspring is used. Longer cable spans are possible depending upon temperature change and installation.

The internal mechanism of the 1CPS latches on both slackened cable (push) and pulled cable, eliminating the need for two switches in certain applications. The latching contact feature for slack cable also enhances productivity by eliminating unidentified nuisance stops (momentary opening of the closed contact) caused by an intermittent slack cable due to temperature variations or vibration.

Easy set-up for proper cable tension is gained by viewing a line in the midpoint of the large cable tension window. Rugged metal housing is a standard feature. A single high intensity LED status indicator is available. Gold-plated contacts are optional features. The device is CE marked, UL and CSA tested, and has been submitted for BG approval.

Honeywell offers one of the broadest portfolios of machine safeguarding products in the industry. The product range includes a wide variety of presence-sensing safeguarding devices (single and multiple safety beam systems, safety laser scanners, light curtain systems, and safety mat systems); electromechanical safety switches (safety limit switches, keyed interlocks and solenoid locking); safety cable pull switches; and safety control modules.
