Puebla City Replaces Troublesome Infrastructure with Intuicom Wireless Communications

Broadband System Serves Puebla-Line 2 Bus Rapid Transit System (BRT-2)

BOULDER, Colo. – Intuicom, Incorporated, a premier supplier of wireless solutions to the Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) market, announced today that it has been chosen to replace a problem-plagued communications corridor for the City of Puebla, the capital and largest city in the Mexican state of Puebla. The announcement, made in conjunction with Intuicom's exclusive distributor for Mexico, SEMEX/Signal Group, represents one of many deployments of Intuicom's world-class wireless communication networks currently underway in Mexico.

It was determined that the Canadian-based radio supplier, whose wireless products were installed, was to be replaced due to recurring and unresolved issues experienced with this wireless system. The city requested that an alternative wireless communication solution be secured that would alleviate the persistent problems the existing network exhibited. SEMEX/Signal Group and their integrator, Peek Traffic Corporation, unequivocally recommended Intuicom's Broadband Wireless Solutions as the replacement.

Intuicom's 5.8GHz BroadBand Solution (BBS) radios were chosen for their extended range and high throughput capabilities. Yet, it was Intuicom's seamless interoperability with other legacy communications devices in place that truly differentiated Intuicom from other vendors.

"Our commitment to customer service and interoperability has long been our benchmark," says Dan Paladino, Director of Sales and Business Development for Intuicom, Inc. "With a history of delivering innovative traffic management and ITS solutions, agencies like Puebla and partners like SEMEX/Signal Group value the experience and functionality our collaboration produces."

Extended Range and Unmatched Connectivity

Intuicom's BroadBand Solution radios are an advanced wireless 802.11a device engineered to address the range the 13.4km rail corridor required and the higher throughput demanded by Puebla in this situation. The BBS family of radios supports the most robust industry-established security options including WPA, WPA2 and MAC/RADIUS authentication. This full-features enterprise-class transceiver also features self-organizing network discovery through Intuicom's BroadbandPro™ Enterprise Management Software, which supports all Intuicom's Wireless BroadBand Solutions.

A Solution So Unique it is Patented

Drag-and-drop network configuration, real-time bi-directional network link data, and a performance dashboard that intuitively communicates network performance parameters including ping latency, signal-to-noise ratio, and Tx/Rx CCQ, are just of few of the advanced features inherent in BroadbandPro™ Enterprise Management Software. There is simply no better way to automatically discover, configure and optimize your Intuicom wireless broadband network than with BroadbandPro™ Enterprise Management Software™ so unique and powerful that it is patented.
