Original Press Release:

Introducing the New PSR-1100ᶠ from Spectral Evolution – an Ideal Spectrometer for Vegetation Studies, Plant Science, and More.

The PSR-1100ᶠ offers a wide range of accessories including FOV lenses.

Looking for a spectroradiometer that you can use in the field for vegetation studies, agricultural research, crop health analysis, biomass research, studies of nitrogen levels, and more?

The newly re-designed PSR-1100ᶠ is SPECTRAL EVOLUTION’s smallest, lightest, full featured field spectroradiometer. It has a spectral range of 320-1100nm and can be used with a laptop or handheld microcomputer, or as a standalone instrument with its built-in keypad and LCD display. The PSR-1100ᶠ is well suited for remote sensing and ground truthing in a very wide range of applications. It provides a 25°, one meter fiber optic cable with an industry-standard FC connections and allows the user to select from 1,2,3,4,5,8 and 10° field of view (FOV) lenses, or connect to a handheld contact probe or our unique leaf clip.

The PSR-1100ᶠ features:

  • Spectral range of 320 – 1100nm
  • Rugged anodized aluminum construction for reliability in the field
  • 1 meter fiber optic cable with an industry-standard FC connection
  • Available with 1,2,3,4,5, 8 and 10° fiber optic lenses
  • Keypad and LCD display allow for standalone operation – system stores up to 2500 scans – or use with laptop or handheld microcomputer
  • Auto-exposure and auto-dark shutter for easy one-touch operation
  • Snap-in lithium-ion rechargeable battery for field use
  • NIST-traceable radiance calibration for 25° fiber optic cable
  • DARWin SP Data Acquisition software - easy to use, stores data as ASCII files for use with third party analysis software

The PSR-1100ᶠ can be equipped with our innovative leaf clip for reflectance measurements. The leaf clip includes a built-in reflectance panel, small spot, and low power illumination. It allows you to measure a small leaf without damaging the sample. You can also attach a handheld contact probe with a comfortable pistol grip, a built-in light source, and integral power triggering cable, well-suited for measurement and analysis in the field.

With DARWin SP Data Acquisition software, researchers also have access to pull-down menus for the USGS spectral library, as well as 19 vegetation indices, including NDVI, SR, SAVI, ARVI, EVI, IPVI, PRI, WBI, PAR, and more.
