Magnetic Proximity Sensors Now With Ex-approval
Ex-protected versions of magnetic proximity sensors from the MM 12 and MM 18 series are now available. These sensors conform to NAMUR, may be used in Explosion Protection Zone 1.
SICK's line of magnetic proximity sensors for the detection of magnetic objects features a revolutionary patented design, making it sturdier and more inexpensive than other electronic sensors. These sensors offer long sensing distances (up to 70 mm) with exceptionally small size, and are capable of sensing magnetic objects, including permanent magnets, through many non-
magnetizable materials.
SICK has developed an unprecedented array of housing shapes and sizes by modifying standard inductive sensors to do a job formerly possible only with cumbersome electronic or mechanical
