Bridgeport Fittings Introduces Protector Strip for Low Voltage Cabling



STRATFORD, Conn., March 26, 2007 - Bridgeport Fittings, Inc., has introduced a protector strip to provide physical protection for nonmetallic sheath cables, or low voltage cabling, hidden in shallow recessed walls. The protector strip may also be used in exposed or concealed locations.

Bridgeport's new solution for nonmetallic-sheath cables in minimum depth walls is designed in accordance with 2005 NEC article 300.4 (B)(2), article 334.15 (B), and other cables per article 300.4(D) and (E). In addition, the protector strip features slots to secure cables as required by NEC article 334.30.

Each protector strip comes in a 3-foot length section and is made of zinc electroplated .063" thick steel.
