Valéron Introduces a New Layer of Strength in Protective Packaging

HOUSTON, TEXAS (October 2006) ... Valeron Strength Films, a leading global manufacturer of high-strength film has created a new line of protective packaging materials by combining the padding protection of cohesive foam with the extreme tear-resistance of Valeron® Strength Film, the leading material for high-performance packaging applications.
When laminated to Valeron film, Valeron film/foam products have significantly increased puncture and tear properties while lowering abrasion levels inside the packaging, lending themselves to high-performance applications. Three types of wrap are available designed to meet varying degrees of package protections: Urban Wrap, Rural Wrap and Metro Wrap.
URBAN WRAP(TM)
Urban Wrap has an outer white surface that resists abrasion and rough handling. It sticks to itself but not the product to self-seal and protect the product. Ideal for aftermarket applications, the product has a look that is soft and comfortable but there is a hidden strength in the layer of Valeron film.
RURAL WRAP(TM)
Rural Wrap looks and feels like normal Kraft paper. Providing more abrasion resistance and less slip in handling, it is actually extremely tear-resistant due to a layer of Valeron film. The cohesive foam allows the user to create applications such as an instant mailing pouch that is both simple to make and reliable to use.
METRO WRAP(TM)
When something beyond the ordinary is needed, protect the product in Metro Wrap. Backed by a layer of Valeron Strength Film, Metro Wrap is more than just a flashy package; the silver, highly reflective surface acts as a radiant barrier protecting against temperature extremes.
