Kimberly-Clark Professional Adds Two New, Contemporary Designs to its Jackson Safety Brand Smith & Wesson Protective Eyewear Line

44 Magnum® and Aviator are Stylish and Comfortable Additions

Aimed at Increasing Compliance with PPE Protocols

ROSWELL, Ga. - Kimberly-Clark Professional's Jackson Safety brand is introducing two new additions to its trusted Smith & Wesson line of protective eyewear - the 44 Magnum® and the Aviator.

The introductions reflect Kimberly-Clark Professional's commitment to offering today's workers a wide variety of ergonomically advanced, stylish and comfortable protective eyewear products. The new offerings are the latest additions to the Smith & Wesson protective eyewear line, which also includes the Caliber, Elite, Equalizer and other popular styles.

"The Smith & Wesson 44 Magnum and the Aviator protective eyewear are both contemporary and comfortable," said Christine Hand, category manager for Kimberly-Clark Professional. "Safety directors are continually looking for eye protection with both of these features, because style and comfort drive compliance, which helps keep workers safe."

The Smith & Wesson 44 Magnum

The 44 Magnum safety glasses are "not just another pair of eyewear," according to Hand. "It was created after extensive end-user research and was specially designed for the Smith & Wesson line."

The 44 Magnum protective eyewear includes a number of new and innovative ergonomic features designed for long-term performance and all-day comfort.

These include:

  • A cut-to-shape, distortion-free, one-piece lens.

  • A flexible nose piece that easily conforms to different nose shapes, provides comfort for all-day use, and includes a unique patent-pending design.

  • Vents on the temples to help increase air flow

The Smith & Wesson Aviator Protective Eyewear

Classic and timeless, the Aviator is a favorite eyewear design traditionally worn outside the workplace. The Aviator addition to the Smith & Wesson line adapts this classic styling for the industrial safety market, creating protective eyewear that, like the 44 Magnum, is both fashionable and comfortable.

    Key features include:

  • A cut-to-shape, distortion-free, one-piece lens

  • A rugged, sturdy structure with a nylon frame.

The Smith & Wesson 44 Magnum and Aviator styles are available with several different lens tints for different light settings. They also feature a gender-neutral design.
Both meet the ANSI Z87.1-2003 standard and are CSA Z94.3 compliant. Applications include construction, manufacturing, work-zone safety, forestry, automotive repair, do-it-yourself projects, shooting and hunting, and other uses.

Kimberly-Clark Professional acquired Jackson Safety, a global manufacturer and distributor of safety products, in April 2009. The acquisition brings many well-known, trusted brands together to further expand the Kimberly-Clark Professional safety portfolio to include both a comprehensive line of personal protective equipment and a wide range of market-leading welding and work-zone safety products.
